Hindering HABITS Versus Healthy HABITS

The year is ending which gives many people an opportunity to self evaluate and do some tuning for a new year a fresh start ......yeah yeah yeah uh huh SAME GAS SAME FART!!!! Whatever save the resolution talk and half ass self evaluations.  This will be a brief tip from me that will help out anyone in any situation. I'm about to speak like an adult so you will need to receive this as an adult with some internal honesty and acceptance. BUT FIRST YOU MUST ACKNOWLEDGE IT!

1. ADMIT you want more of a BETTER YOU. Look deeply inside and imagine the BEST YOU.

2. ADMIT you have HINDERING HABITS  and IDENTIFY them. The small ones are just as harmful as the big ones, so struggle painfully list them all.  If its easy to write them out you may need to take a few days to get deeper on the matter or ask a friend their honest opinion, shut up & listen.

3 ACKNOWLEDGE & ACCEPT #1 & #2. There is no debate about them, when you evaluated and wrote it out or put in your head that sealed it.  NOW ACCEPT IT, WORK ON IT and REPLACE IT with your HEALTHY HABITS. If that's a resolution, fine - but I recommend GOAL setting with BODY SPIRIT MIND in focus, that's NAKIDFINE!


Don't over think the evaluation, just be honest with yourself because that may be the easy piece if you truly are ready to transform into the BETTER LIVING YOU. Replace some of those facebook freak pages to something of substance, you know exactly what I am referring too.  If its a food issue you are dealing with quit cutting out ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET COUPONS.  I'm sure you get the point but you have to replace it within the HELPFUL HEALTHY category.  As I said brief and done. I wish you a Happy New Year and I believe you may have all the best failure and success stories in the world at the end of 2014.  Trust me its okay to Fail sometimes, just means you are trying. You know how to find me, I guess.  SuperNakidOWT!

Right Now, Starts Now.

Right Now, STARTS NOW!

The title is a reminder that I may need to tattoo on my forehead or even tape to my kids shirts so I have ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE!




     Now that all the "I wish...", the IFs, "if I could only" moments are here it's time to produce, point -blank -period.  But the reality soon sets in and everything isn't as peachy as you thought it would be.  Our lives, simply put are a balancing act.  Listen up because your equilibrium somehow is placed in your eardrums somewhere.

     Babies learn to walk by holding on to whatever they can to find balance, throughout school you learn to build your academic resume by being an all around student of life with education subjects and extra curricular activities and finally somewhere we up to BIG ADULT PERSON STATUS.  Yes! How's your balance now?!?!!!?!!!!   Uh HUH, between your personal health, employment, children, bills, unexpected emergencies, half days of school & homework, if you are in school you have homework too!, busted radiator, increasing prices *but your wage is the same, ... of course these are the PROBLEM side of things but they still need to be prioritized, addressed and met usually with a sense of urgency.    Now I don't want to assume what type of person you are because some folks handle all of the previous listed issues and other things very well- BILLS PAID! Check! Car passed emmissions! Check! Tithed 15% thats how we do! Check that off! Christmas savings and money for 2 BIRDS on Turkeys DAY check! on the outside all that looks gravy n good to others but what about you and those closest to you?  Having all of that in place by all means is awesome, but what about the NOW, the RIGHT NOW, that time when your kid wants you to look at him save the princess on Mario Brothers, or Wifey got a new color and is waiting for you  to notice with a compliment or you haven't had a chance to simply do what you simply enjoy to keep you sane and positively balanced.  This is surely a ramble on my end but I made this blog to express myself and challenge anybody who reads this to apply the RIGHT NOW, STARTS NOW theme in their lives. The same energy you use to hustle or slave for somebody else balance it out and apply some of that to you and your family or whatever floats your boat.  Take the time and PUT URGENT! HANDLE WITH CARE! and SPECIAL DELIVERY all over YOURSELF and KIDs and do something special RIGHT NOW!      
*NOT GONNA PROOFREAD THIS!!!! I have other stuff to do RIGHT NOW! ha ha just thought I'd blog with the Right now theme.

AS IS!!!

Short & Quick because I should really be doing all the other blog topics I wrote down.  Anyways--- AS IS!! Thats the topic, the subject matter and that is all! As Is, simply means sometimes you can't add ANYTHING ELSE TO THE EQUATION!!! I don't care what you think, that could be an issue OVER THINKING! ha ha Simply accept some things as is, NO SALT, No Make Up, No Cover ups!

     I just want to recall this thought that's I'm recording it as a blog piece--- and to end before my run on sentences begin.  PLEASE APPLY THIS 1 RULE and you can make up whatever else you desire you will do that anyway and it is encouraged. If you feel the need to ADD something to the equation SUBTRACT as well! When you decide to get into a great evaluation of yourself at the very moment you are Ph7 BALANCED! Thats what you want a great Spiritual Evaluated Balanced Feeling in life.  3Fingers Up! Body Spirit Mind! Nakidfine!

Change Vs Transformation (Part 1)

 

Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

 

      Often when I speak with people, I am usually highly animated with a variety of simple sayings or lil word play creations I just make up.  One of my commonly used sayings is "You CAN'T CHANGE! YOU EITHER START or STOP something in your LIFE!"  I picked this from an AA meeting listening to an older person who knew the drill about being a more productive person.  I am inspired to write this morning after talking to my mother who rushed herself to the Emergency Room last night in Kansas City. So independent didn't bother to call a soul! ha ha then texted me! She crazy! Anyway lets dig into todays topic inspired by a conversation with Mama- Change Vs. Transformation.


     As Donna and I are talking (I don't call her that but you can) she started rapid firing off verses, that's what she do! Jeopardy Queen -Bible Version! I spoke about a friend who is accomplished, successful and has achieved a long term career goal, BUT SHE MAD! My friend called and said "I can't even enjoy it! I'M FAT!" Now this friend and I have gone back n forth with different ideas to get her going and lose some weight etc etc, but the changes she wants and can well achieve, CAN ALL BE CHANGED RIGHT BACK!!! In starting a walk, journey or getting into your goals you must first start and with that start BELIEVE IN THE TRANSFORMATION not a body change but a RENEWING of the MIND! A renewing of ones mind goes back to me saying that starting some new things while stopping some bad things must take place.  Anyone can lose weight but not every person can truly transform into a new train of thought or thinking process.  They want to be stuck, defeated and then blame something else on why they aren't getting CONSISTENT RESULTS for the damn near impossible TRANSFORMATION.  Mom said you have SHORT & LONG TERM GOALS and then you HAVE THE IMPOSSIBLE GOAL!!!  You and I Both want the IMPOSSIBLE!!!  *and we also know that with GOD all things are possible.  The beautiful thing about setting these impossible goals is because that SHORT & LONG TERM GOAL is easy to achieve for some folks they say I'm gonna be an Engineer or Doctor and for some every tool they need  to get that achieved is right there and the obstacles hurdled to get there have been simple jumps but on the back end somewhere in their life THE ARE WEAK WILLED! They can't..... that right their weakness is what they desire to be TRANSFORMED.  I'll have to revisit this and go a bit deeper from what was shared to me.  But I'll leave on this  once that caterpillar TRANSFORMS into a butterfly it's NEW! and can't never go back and I'm sure it wouldn't want to! Now that it can fly! So take on the I can do the IMPOSSIBLE MENTALITY and KICK SOME ASS TODAY!!!!

Heavy Days


Heavy Days!

Exodus 17:12
12 But Moses hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat theron: and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side: and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

The spirit of weakness and light weight laziness over came me today, as it gently wrapped its character over my body it seeped into my spirit and mind and YES I felt DEFEATED!!! For No reason at ALL! Unexplained SH*TTYness! The trick was done subtly there was no sadness or horrible situations at my door knocking, it was like waking up to a foggy morning it was just there and I refused to even turn my one headlights on! 

  
     I am thankful for having a day of celebration and friends across the country.  Today I was called a leader after I made a post about not wanting to get up and go get some at the gym, BUT I AM WEAK I am thinking to myself and thats when it hit me! YOU CAN BE WEAK!!!! There's nothing wrong with having HEAVY moments or feelings of WEAKNESS- WE ARE HUMAN with 1,000 EMOTIONS and CHARACTERS! I texted my Pastor and asked him for the verse of Moses and his moment of weakness while the right hands were available to keep his ARMS lifted with the tasks at hand.  The right people are there for you in these times, make yourself available to receive the proper motivation.  It's a simple comment at times, a call or even someone in need of the LITTLE STRENGTH YOU HAVE LEFT!!!!! And you give it up!!!! Sacrificing it all for the tasks you are called to do! There's so many stories in my day but for once I will keep them close to me only because GOD isn't finished and I had to at least get up and realize it was a new day and a new task that needed to be accomplished and it won't be overnight! 

      Remember your 3 main components of BODY SPIRIT & MIND are under all sorts of attack.  So keep on checking on them to keep them in proper running function to be the best YOU daily!

Beat the ODDS not YOURSELF!

It's still early in 2013, like it just started and what have you learned from January 1st to TODAY???? Well I am basing that thought off of the many resolution makers and poor year finishers that say things like.. " I'm leaving all that in 2012 in 2012"..... even in struggles and losses you haven't learned to over come and keep a smile?

The same things that build MUSCLES, BUILD CHARACTER & ENDURANCE!  Your muscles have memory and I'm learning that to take your work out to the next level you must SHOCK YOUR CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM.  What that does is gets your body ready to receive BIGGER and STRONGER workouts, you have been tested at lifting a 20 pound KETTLE BELL, on onto a 30, 40, upward to whatever you can swing now, but you must appreciate DAY 1 on the 20 pound bell to your new weight targets.  Everything counts! Everyday is a building block whether its Spiritual or Physical you are supposed to be embracing growth. YOUR SYSTEM RECEIVED a FEW SHOCKS last year, OKAY GREAT! ACCEPT IT, EMBRACE IT and get your spirit in check so you can say that you LOVED IT!!! Out of your GAINS/LOSSES what have you learned? The odd makers play the loss as well as the wins, they are not 100% against you but the ODDS are made based on how you get up and get ready for the next game, job, spouse and much NEEDED VICTORY in your LIFE!

Tonite on a facebook post my cousin Ebong Stancil a competitive body builder stated on my post "YOU NEED TO CHANGE YOUR MIND SET!"  He didn't say forget about everything you have learned, CHANGE to me is STARTING or STOPPING something(s).  By not appreciating your last year you are robbing yourself of much needed evaluations, don't spend time beating yourself up about where you fell short but spend time BUILDING YOURSELF UP to beat the ODDS this year! There will be some bad days! There will be trouble! There will be some lazy moments! There will be unexpected issues! But you are stronger don't beat yourself up mentally and get whooped again! An ass kicking doesn't mean you are weak, not as long as you pt up the best fight!  Keep fighting & Beat the ODDS this year!  If you had more losses than victories it's up to you to change that! NO PITY PARTIES! Just get in fighting trim and stay in fighting trim!
